The University of Franche-Comté – UFC (www.univ-fcomte.fr) is a multidisciplinary university located in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region (North-East) with 27 research units. Some of them are called “UMR” – Joint research units, JRU – made up of other research institutes such as CNRS, CEA, INSERM and IRNA. The university is located in Besançon. The main areas of research are humanities, medical and environmental sciences and engineering sciences.
The University of Franche-Comté, as the promoter of the project, will be responsible for general coordination, communication, dissemination activities and administrative aspects, particularly towards the EU. The university will participate in all stages of the project. Drawing on their experience and expertise in migration studies, the teacher-researchers involved in the project will participate in training activities, in particular in collaboration with the association Miroirs de Femmes. The students will carry out the surveys. These surveys will serve as a basis for carrying out the analysis and debate phases. The university will also organize the final conference in Besançon where the recommendations of the project will be presented.
